Fostering inclusive, evidence-based mentorship practices, the Graduate Inclusive Mentoring Community (GIMC) offers professional development opportunities for faculty and staff to enhance their mentoring skills. In this session, participants will identify expectation lenses, values, and priorities and explore how they shape assumptions and understanding. Participants will also leave with practical scripts to strengthen mentor/mentee communication, address individual challenges, and provide more effective support. Sessions run from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., with an optional Q&A immediately after from 12:30–1:00 p.m.
